Cabeza reducida Tzantza
Tsantsa, tzantza o cabeza reducida es la práctica del pueblo indígena shuar - jíbaro (Sudamérica) de "reducir cabezas". Este procedimiento hacía que el guerrero momificara y conservara las cabezas de sus enemigos como talismán y trofeo de guerra.
La práctica de la reducción de cabezas tenía originalmente un significado religioso, disminuyendo la cabeza del enemigo se creía que poseían el espíritu de éste y lo obligaba a servir a su dueño, evitando así que su espíritu se vengara. Servía también como instrumento intimidante para enemigos y como trofeo de guerra para ser exhibido con orgullo por el vencedor.

Tzantza Shrunken Head
Tsantsa, tzantza or shrunken head is the practice of the indigenous Shuar-Jíbaro people (South America) of "shrinking heads". This procedure made the warrior mummify and preserve the heads of his enemies as a talisman and war trophy.
The practice of head reduction originally had a religious meaning, by shrinking the enemy's head it was believed that they possessed the spirit of the enemy and forced him to serve his owner, thus preventing his spirit from taking revenge. It also served as an intimidating instrument for enemies and as a war trophy to be proudly displayed by the victor.
